Following parents’ complaints about ground injuries that have resulted from rough games and other forms of hands-on play, a B.C. elementary school has banned kindergartners from touching each other during recess.
A letter sent to the children’s parents reads that: “We will have a zero-tolerance policy with regards to hands-on play, resulting in the missing of playtime and trips to the office for those who are unable to follow the rules.”
For sure, in British Columbia, school officials take the physical protection of their young pupils very seriously.
