– Researchers from Cambridge University and University College London warn that keeping your kids too clean can destroy beneficial bacteria which keep their immune system strong. Parents who intend to keep their families healthy should for example suck their infants’ pacifiers to clean them, let their toddlers eat food off the floor, and get a pet.
– To increase the number of friendly microorganisms, it’s also recommended to take kids on regular walks in the countryside, to visit farms, to play with animals, and to exercise in parks instead of the gym. Kissing family members is another efficient way to stimulate the development of healthy bacteria.
